Heading south!

Ah the desert… Oh no just the top of the South Island so dry but some fancy fields and irrigation.

Started in Auckland with a great evening with Elise before we took the flight to Christchurch and she had to go to work.

We are saving Christchurch for later and grabbed a car and headed to Oamaru. Plan to get to the Catlins then do Central Otago and head back to Canterbury. We have travelled this way before but not spent time doing things. Oamaru was cool. A brew at the local brewery and then the visit to the steam punk hq.

And on to Owaka via some great scenery. Seen so many seals already, nearly as common as sheep 😁

Apparently they have had a terrible wet summer here so we will see what walks are open in the next few days.
